Many people have reached out to me about the legality of what I’m doing. When I started this and I saw fear in people’s eyes, I mistook that for dislike of my writing or the subject matter, but later realized it is fear that more shit will be brought down on my head. Thank you for your concern.

Background
I initially asked RJ to meet me alone so we could talk, by email and text. He did not respond. After much dodging from RJ, and those around him, he wrote me an email. The whole thread is posted here.
Libel
As far as I can tell the law is on my side. Here is a link to the full definition of libel. The key point is this: “…an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of others.” Untruth is crucial. As long as I continue to tell the truth about my relationship with him I should be safe legally. I have so far only described the first 5 years of our relationship, and of that only a small sliver of what happened. I have another 35 years to go. In addition, these events and more all had witnesses who are still alive and can corroborate everything.
Criminal Case
Although the statue of limitations has passed for me to file a criminal case, I have filed historic charges for the statutory rape and sex with a minor, with the Redwood City. I named over ten witnesses. I still need to file the historic sex trafficking in SF.
Civil Case
I have about one and a half years to file civil charges. I had a lawyer send demand letters. RJ’s lawyer said in a phone call they believed the statute of limitations was over, and that he didn’t own anything to go after even if we got a won a civil case and received a judgement. Also, he offered me $10,000 dollars; he claims that is all he has. Then the lawyer threatened that if I used my own money to sue RJ they would drag it out until I was broke.
So far I have not found a lawyer who will help pursue a civil case because they can’t see a way to get paid. I can not fault them for this, although this does make things more difficult. I continue to seek legal counsel, but it is not an easy thing for me to do. One lawyer looked up the statute to file, but would not help more. If I can get the time and some help I’m thinking of starting a gofundme for legal fees. Please Help.
